Audiobooks, dude!

They are awesome. It's like a portable bookstore in my ipod. Makes the daily 1 hour 26 minutes of commuting much more awesome-filled. And distracts me from bus-sickness and subsequent puke-vandalism.

Speaking of buses, their drivers are fearless. I can't count the number of times I thought we were going to run over some school children, kill a puppy, or knock over lamp posts.

Oh, and we got a new cable modem and now my computer's internet is jacked up. So I am using my bro's computer. Hear me roar, cable company!

Why do all the Epic Events(TM) have to happen during exam period? I can't even celebrate properly:

This is my Epic Event of the Year(TM). I would like to thank my laptop and the cafeteria's cottage cheese for helping me get this far!
Maybe I'll stay here til closing time [7pm] just for the hell of it!

My life is so exciting! :D

I was reading some of my earlier LJ posts and man I was a scary/annoying child! But because I turned out to be a perfect human being, I like to think that it was the compensatory action in my brain trying to adapt to the SRZ BZNS that was/is the interwebz.

Basically every other entry was about:

1. Lord of the Rings [actually...there is nothing annoying about this]
2. quiz spammage..like...Every. 5. Minutes. HOMG. [although quizzes were more popular back then...but...hostile friends page takeover anyone?! At least I knew how to lj-cut...]
3. whining [...I do that a lot, don't I? I should have gotten a whinejournal]
4. shameless layout and site promotion [I still do this (holla!)...but I don't have a zillion websites no more so...]

...I kinda wished I had a layout log of all my LJ layouts...I changed them so freaking often...it was really fun XD

[Shoutout to klgrem, fordanglia, sam86, solookup, nighthour, and others (who still has an active LJ? I can't even tell...) who have been on my flist since (near) the beginning of time! I don't know how you guys ever put up with my crazy 12 year old self]

I notice that around exam time, several things tend to happen.

I:
1. Pick up a new hobby
2. Rediscover my love for neopets
3. Become an expert on something totally unrelated to what I'm studying
4. Log on to LJ with increasing frequency
5. Do anything but work

Conclusion: Not enough caffeine.

My past two days have been very exciting:

Yesterday: The cages at the lab are now transparent in color and ever so shiny! Either we got a really good cleaning machine or we bought new ones. But they are so pretty! I jumped for joy for about half an hour after seeing them.

Today: The discovery of club soda! I dumped the whole can in my water bottle and now there's a party happening in there. It's going "fizzzzzzzzz" and it's the coolest thing ever.

It'd be even more exciting if I could actually get some work done, but I don't always get what I want, sadly.

It's so weird that the sun was still up when I walked back from lab yesterday! I think I cried a few tears of joy...

I think my walking speed got faster!

At the rate I'm going, I wouldn't ever need a car--or plane tickets!

My laptop crashed yesterday.
Took it to the repair shop this morning. So I am laptop-less for two weeks, maybe even a month. Or forever, since my laptop's at least 4 years old.

There's now an empty space on my desk where my soul used to be.

I just finished watching this episode where this dude basically spent years trying to find this legendary pokemon so he could battle it. And then when he finally found it and they started battling, the volcano the guy was standing on was all “LOL COCKBLOCK!” and erupted so he had to run for his life and the battle was never finished.

AND THEN YOU KNOW WHAT, he was all “I waited my whole life for this battle, I guess I can wait a little longer.” And that he was going to stay on the stupid island to wait for it to come back. Like he didn’t have to worry about other things like making a living.

I am so bitter right now...

Renewed my obsession with pokemon yesterday!
I used to set my watch alarm to 4 o'clock so I wouldn't miss that show.

And you know what I realized?
These kids' damn parents actually let them skip school to go fling pokeballs around!

I WANT TO BE A POKEMON MASTER TOO!!!!!
